wheat grass in terracotta pots @ Make and Takes |
I've been seeing containers of grass used for home decoration for a long time now but I didn't realize that they were so easy and inexpensive to make. I just happened to run across these today online and I'm SO glad that I did... I'm feeling very inspired and I think I'm going to try to make some of my own.
You can actually grow real grass in containers OR you can use faux grass from the craft store which looks just as good and will last lots longer. Here is the photo of the faux grass one:

House of Hepworths has been gracious enough to share a great photo illustrated tutorial showing just how she made this fabulous faux grass container! Go have a look :0)
Thanks for the shout out and sharing my tutorial! You rock!
ReplyDeleteAwww.. thanks! I really appreciate it but I think YOU ROCK! I had no idea they had fake grass except for like plants and grass for fish tanks. You inspired me! I'm def going to make one and the best thing about it is I'll never have to water it and it will last forever ;)
DeleteThat's why I love it! You don't have to water it. I can't kill it. Did you see my other one? http://www.houseofhepworths.com/2010/04/25/wheatgrass-jamba-juice/ This one is my favorite!
DeleteOMG! Those are amazing! There is no way anyone would be able to tell that those were not filled with real grass... LOVE them!!! I like how you have them displayed above the cabinets. Would you mind if I add a photo of these to my post? You did an awesome job!
ReplyDeleteI love using wheat grass for meals and smoothies. Such a healthy organic food item :)
